The theory of creative thinking and inquiry learning in Junior High school physics teaching was put forward in recent years compared to the traditional passive learning method. It fully reflects the main idea of the curriculum reform in physics and conforms to the requirement of quality education in modern society.Creative thinking refers to the epitome, indirect and active reflection of the human mind to the nature of the objective things and the rule of the inner connection of different things.The method of creative thinking training to middle school students is through systematic education for the purpose of enabling them, as independent individuals, to find out and recognize new knowledge, new objects, new ideas, new methods and equip them with creativity in the future.Scientific inquiry means 'The many different ways that scientists explore the nature, obtain evidence and provide analysis. It also refers to all kinds of activities through which students gain knowledge, grasp the scientific theories as well as the way of scientists' exploration to the natural world.'The purpose of inquiry learning is to develop students' understanding to the nature of scientific exploration in order to improve their scientific training in full scale. It is also a high -level learning method to cultivate students' scientific spirit and attitude.This research is based on the following theories:Firstly, the creative thinking theory is based on: 1. American psychologist J.Wallas's theory of 'four stages'. 2. Werthermer's constructive theory 3. J.P.Guilford's theory of open-mindednessSecondly, the theory of inquiry learning is according to the following theories:1.The theory of the connection of acceptance learning and finding learning 2. the theory of J.Piaget 's constructive learning 3.A.Rojas 's humanism theoryThirdly, creative thinking in inquiry is on the basis of: 1. the creative thinking among inquiry learning 2. problem solving theory in inquiry learningBased on the above theories and combined with my personal study and experience, this thesis illustrates the following principles and procedures. The main principles are: self-education, open-mindedness, cooperation, encouragement, step by step learning, linking with reality, etc.The procedures are: 1.the report of research and achievement 2.evaluation and conclusion 3.theory deduction or demonstration. 4.feedback exercise 5.raising new questions 6.follow-up activities.The research of this essay adopts some methods, such as analysis of specific cases, follow-up investigation, etc. Besides, the teaching experience in education is summarized in time and the touching theory in education is developed, all of which lead to a good combination of theory and practice-Some achievements have been made after two years' application of the new theory. Inquiry learning method helps to stimulate students' learning interests, enhance their cooperative ability as well as capability in collecting and dealing with information. Creative thinking training can strengthen their ability of solving all kinds of problems, foster their creative consciousness. As a result, not only the students' marks, interests, but also their creative thinking capabilities have been greatly improved. They have formed a certain scientific attainments in physics. All in all, this research has provided feasible theoretical foundations and practical reference for teaching.
