With the rapid development of information technology in education, computer technology, communications and network technology as the core means of information technology is also increasingly used in education and teaching, which has opened a new space to develop students’ creative thinking ability. In educational innovation and reform, educators contact invariably variety of techniques with the training of creative thinking and conducted in-depth analysis and exploration. Among these, Webquest provides a new perspective to train the students’creative thinking.Based on the study and research of creative thinking mental activity mechanisms andWebquest teaching model, this article studies creative thinking development of studentpromoted by the Webquest with the help of different research methods, such as Constructivisttheory, documentary research, experimental research, questionnaire survey, etc. so as to serveteaching reform and innovative personnel training.Starting from the background of the current era of education reform and the analysis ofthe importance of teaching reform research promoting students’ creative thinking, thisresearch proposes the study purpose, meaning, the contents, keys,difficulties and researchmethodologies. Based on the study of Webquest and literature study, this article demonstratesthe need of the study to take one step ahead. Meanwhile, combined with the creative thinkingmental model theory and constructivist theory, the Webquest teaching model is analyzed andthe value of Webquest in cultivating students’ creative thinking is confirmed. By studying therequirement of Webquest to promote students’ creative thinking development in full detail,this article puts forwards the design of learning platform based on dynamic website, andintroduces the features of the platform and how to use it. In the practice part of this article, theauthor puts the design of Webquest teaching model into practice according to the purpose ofpromoting students’ creative thinking. The author chooses eight themes from Basics OfComputer Application of secondary vocational school to do the experiment. At last, the authormakes the conclusion that Webquest makes great contribution to the student’ creative thinking development,further more, the author gives some suggestions to promote the development ofstudents’ creative thinking.
