| Based on researching the present situation of teaching resources, the development of extra curricular activities and the basketball training in Traditional Basketball Schools (TBS) of Guangxi, I would like to present a theoretical research on feasiblity of establishing Basketball Clubs (BC) in TBS of Guangxi, with methods of documents and data, consulting experts, polls, interviews and logical thinking. The object of my research is some Physical Education (PE) teachers and some students who are from 9 TBS of Guangxi lacks and 9 representative middle schools of Guangxi. The purpose of my thesis is to deepen the reform of the PE in middle schools of Guangxi, to solve the problem that Guangxi lacks for reserve basketball talents, to find a way out of the contradiction between teaching and learning in PE, so that we can have a better way of conducting middle school students to develop basketball, improving their abilities of taking exercises with basketball and developing their competitive level. The thesis aims at being of help to provide more reserve basketball talents for Guangxi and China, establish a good foundation for PE for life and promote the development of basketball in Guangxi.By the means of interviewing, observing and so on, I have an investigation on the present situation of the extracurricular activities and the basketball training in TBS of Guangxi. The result shows: 1.Extracurricular activities should be developed better for the necessary conductive system and the training environment are wanting. Most students said they had less free time and fewer sports apparatus; 2.Most members of basketball teams of school complained: they have fewer chances to take part in basketball games. The level of coaches are not high enough, which limits the development of their skills; 3.Busy work, low pay and low status constrain the training enthusiasmof PE teachers. In the way of on-the-spot investigation, I found that developing basketball training in TBS of Guangxi has a lot of advantages and disadvantages as well. The advantages are mainly: 1.attention from leaders of TBS. In the course of investigation, I had such an impression that the leaders of most schools support the basketball training; 2.sports field and apparatus. According to the investigation, training field and apparatus of TBS can meet the needs of training on the whole; 3.teachers with professional level. Most experts state, as to develop BC that is body-building-oriented and training-auxiliary, the number of PE teaching, training and coaching; 4.fund. Guangxi PE Bureau invests $1000-2000 to TBS every year. 56% TBS invest about $1000-3000 every year. The investments are mainly used to repair basketball courts and apparatus; 5.Interests of students. The investigation told us the favorite sport of students is basketball; 6.83%non-PE teachers support their students to take part in basketball training. In TBS of Guangxi at present, the difficulties of basketball training are shown as follows: the lack of fund ; the lack of basketball talents; less attention from the administrative leaders of PE departments and fewer specialized teachers. These difficulties are negative for the development of PE in middle schools.Analyzing the difficulties mentioned above, the developing trend of PE in the schools of developing advantages of TBS, the existing problems and the causes of the problems, I gave my suppose establishing BC in TBS.The thesis is a theoretical research on possibilities of establishing BC in TBS of Guangxi. In my opinion, reform should be come out in training system in TBS of Guangxi. Establishing BC in TBS of Guangxi will promote further reforms in the system of PE in Guangxi. For students, it can arouse their motivation of sports and enlighten their zeal to sports. For PE teachers, it can develop their status and raise their pay and condition so as to stimulate their energy.
