The Development Of Aptitude Structure Of College Speciality

When choosing college speciality, one of the major tasks is to understand own dominance aptitude, this essay with a brief overview of Gardner's intelligence pluralism , Sternbetg's intelligence theory and GATB. The purpose of present study is to develop the speciality ability scale for university students.This study samples 827 students for nine universities in Wuhan City. The results show that:(1)the item characteristics of the scale are acceptable;(2)the intetnal consistency reliability of the scale is reasonable;(3)the distinction validity and forecasting validity of the scale are satisfying. Therefore, the quality of the scale meets the requirement of psychological testing. However, some items have to be revised in oeder to promote the use of the scale. The scale is useful for college speciality choosing. Some further studies are also discussed.
