As is widely known, China is at a new stage of its development into a prosperous country. The advancement of science and technology, the keen competition between countries and the great changes of the society have issued a challenge to the teaching and learning of politics in junior middle school. However, there is a considerable discrepancy between the condition of the teaching and learning of politics in junior middle school and the requirements of the current situation, the main reasons for which are: the decrease of the importance of the politics lessons caused by the changes of peoples values as well as those of the society the discrepancy between the theories which the politics textbooks convey and the development of the society, and the lack of activity in the politics class resulted from the dated teaching methods and the mechanic learning.To meet the demands of the re form of the tracery of politics in junior middle school and the performance of quality education, We middle school teachers must adapt our teaching to the colorful social life, make full we of the students' life experience to arouse the students' interest in politics lessons, lead them to study by themselves and explore actively the solutions to the problems they face in their growth. All these jobs will greatly promote the renewal of our views on teaching and learning, the reform of the curriculum, the improvement of the teaching methods and the efficiency of the teaching and learning. I conducted a questionnaire with 48 questions to invent stigmata the students' interest in politics lessons and their motivation for study as well as their Views on the Value of politics lessons, the content of the textbooks, the teacher's work, the evaluation system, and their own achievements in this subject. After questionnaire, open interviews and conversations with some students, and watching the students' study activities, I made a detainees analysis of the causes of the lack of the students' interest in politics and attributed it to the following: the parents' neglect of politics cessions, the dated textbooks which are no longer suitable for the new situation, the ignoring of the importance of politics lessons in the guide-lines on the high school entrance examination, those agley social phenomena such as violence, corruption, and thedated, boring teaching met tools. Among the above-met honed, the most important factor is the work of the teachers.Now I put forward 11 suggestions based on the analogs to areole the students in eeriest in study, which are as following: 1.correutly realize the nature and function of politics cessions; 2.improve the textbooks; 3.improue teaching methods; 4.bwild harmonies relations between the teachers and solvents; 5.put the sis' interest in the first place; 6.encowrage the creativity of the students as well as the teachers in developing and using teaching material.7.Encourage modern and scientific telling and leaning model; 8.Emphasize the importance of activity class.9.Renew the evaluation system; 10.Unite the principle of cognition and that of non-cognition; 11 .Improve the integrated quality of the teachers.
