Strengthening Environment Education Of Geography Teaching

In the prolonged course of development of human society, the relationship between environment and economic development has not been coped appropriately. As a result, Environmental issue has become one of the most important problems facing the world nowadays: deforestation, the distinction of some species, desertization, acid rain, green house effect, and the red tide, which lead to the serious pollution of the environment we exist. We can never develop our economy at the cost of destroying our environment, nor can we meet the demands of a generation or the people in a specific region at the cost of interests of peoples in other regions. We have to rely on economic strength and advanced science and technology, and adopt the policy of sustainable development to solve the environment problems.What is environment problems? What is environment education and how to carry out environment education for the subject of geography? This is a subject that needs to be further probed into systematically. This paper, on the basis of analysising environment education situation in the world discusses the content and way of environment education in geography teaching . The dissertation includes three parts.Part 1 Narrate the background and course of raising environmenteducation. Environment education is form groping stage to nature gradually. Environment education must make people understand the relationship between human and environment education and improve human's environment realize.Part2 Discusses the important role environment education plays in the development of human society and environment harmoniously. Let our students realize the environment problems of our country and learn the basic state policies to protect our environment.Part3: On the basis of illustrating clearly geographic knowledge and phenomena, carry out the environment education to our students focusing on the outlook of environment, and cultivate our students the outlook of sustained development by combining the education of geography and environment. The focal point is to analysis the main way of environment in geography teaching and main form of developing environment education.
