The structure of physics teaching materials in junior middle school is the logical organization among elements and components inner the teaching materials, those elements include knowledge elements ability elements emotion, attitude and value elements; those components include the education targets, teaching contents and concrete teaching models .It can be classified in two layers: surface-layer structure and deep-layer structure. The former is the exterior format of teaching materials, it shows the aspects of teaching, affecting teachers how to teach, and students how to learn. The latter shows the aspects of contents, affecting teachers what to teach, and students what to learn. So, from the angle of contents' structures, we can roundly realize how the teaching materials present the ideas of curriculum.Study one compares the structures of the teaching materials between the new teaching material published by Shanghai Technology House according to curriculum standard and the traditional teaching materials (1951,1956,1963,1978,1984,1993,2001) published by People's Educational House according to teaching syllabus. Study one can get the following conclusions:(1) In the aspects of the surface-layer structures. From the whole structure of chapters, the new one breaks through the structure which is arranged by the system of subject in tradditional ones, and the new one organizes some chapters by some topics, presenting the intergation of contents. Compared with traditional ones, the amount of items has been obviously reduced, the proportions of calculative and essay items are relatively low, the proportion of practical items is relatively increased. In the picture, the amount of pictures and the proporation of potographs in the new one are higher than that in traditional ones,and the pictures have the functions of inspiring interest forstering emotion .In the column, the amount of columns in the new one is higher than that in traditional ones, and the columns of the new one still stands out the characters of instruction. maneuverability inquiry alternation and participation.(2) In the aspects of the deep-layer structures. Compared with traditional ones, the proportions of physics contents aren't generally changed in mechanics and optics, butelectromagnetics and thermologics are relatively reduced. The proportions between physics contents and pages are generally corresponded. The proportion of theoretical contents is reduced, and the practical contents increased. The new one pays attention to applying humanities to physics, with the rather scopes. In the elements of abilities, not only from the stating of notions, the guidance of learning methods, the systematic combination of knowledge, but also from choosing inquiry contents, designing experiments, they show that the new one pays attention to fostering the elementary abilities of inquiry and stressing on the development of the integrated abilities. In the elements of emotions, attitudes and values.In order to enhance the values of thought and education, the new one pays attention to fostering students' inspiration and interst with the description of language, the pictures and the names of characters, besides penetrating the materials of emotions into the structure of knowledge,Study two ,for the purpose to investigate the compilation of teaching materials from practice, the writer carries out the questionnaires to teachers ,and discusses some problems from the aspects of knowledge, cognition and ability, emotion attitude and value, compilation, implementation, with them based on the comparison with the teaching material published by People's Educational House according to teaching syllabus in 2001. Release 270 questionnaires to 83 schools in 17 cities and counties. Study two can get the following conclusions:(1) In the aspects of the knowledge, the new one generally covers with the science contents of National Standard of Physics Education in middle schools.
