Textbooks, important carriers for the subject knowledge, have great impact on the learning of the students. The analysis of textbooks is the important content and means to realize the teaching process optimization. In present paper, according to music curriculum standard(2011 edition), the music textbooks(Shandong education edition)for junior middle school in the regions of Yantai and Weihai in Shandong Province are comprehensively studied, including the singing songs, appreciating songs, instrumental music playing, and music knowledge structure four parts. The advantages and disadvantages of the textbooks are found out and analyzed. Moreover, combining with the actual teaching process, the effective solution and suggestion are proposed to correct the disadvantages. The aim is to further optimize the teaching process and teaching objectives in the future by returning these solution and suggestion to teaching process.The paper includes the following five parts.In chapter one, the research significance and research content of the Music Textbooks(Shandong education edition) are analyzed. Music Textbooks, one of the most important part in the school music education, represent the national music education level and the national music education thought. At the same time, it is the main carrier of the implementation of teaching activities, the basic references and scale for teacher’s teaching, and the main way to obtain knowledge for students. Thus, the analysis of Music Textbooks is of great significance for current music education.In chapter two, the main teaching content and teaching form in this set of textbooks, at the same time the proportion of them are found out through a quantitative analysis on each of textbooks, and then, a comprehensive summary on overall analysis of a complete set of material.In chapter three, based on the analysis in the second part, the important teaching contents in the textbooks(singing songs, appreciating songs, instrumental music playing, and music knowledge structure) are analyzed to find out the advantages and disadvantages.In chapter four, in view of the analysis in the second and the third parts and the problems in the process of teaching practice, the author’s opinions and suggestions forwriting the junior high school music textbooks is proposed.A summary of this paper and a outlook are given Summary of Chapter Five...
