The Strategic Research On The Sustainable Development Of High Vocational Education In Hunan

The high vocational education, an essential constituent of high education, is an important basis of national economy and social development. The sustainable development of the HVE, on one hand, requires harmonization with that of economics, the society and other educational undertakings; on the other hand, it should correspond with its inner factors, organic mechanism and ways of operation.Recently, with the rapid development of the economy, society and high education in Hunan Province, our HVE has made great strides forward and the scale of school running bas been expanding fast. An increasing number of the high vocational universities and colleges have trained in large batches the high-quality applied talents for society, which meets the demands of our province to develop the economy. However, our foundation of the HVE of enlarging its scale is comparatively weak to fit the enlargement of the scale. Specifically, the problems of its sustainable development are gradually projecting. Our social cognition, conditions and qualifications for school running and the overall arrangement hardly meet the demands of the continuous development and they even greatly restrain the rising of the HVE to a high level. In view of this, it's necessary to explore farther the way to sustainable development and to make an attempt to find solutions or strategies to make it develop healthily and harmoniously.Aiming at the situations mentioned above, this paper will give a detailed discussion from four aspects.Chapter One is a brief analysis of the background in which problems are supplied, the definition and introduction of the concept of the sustainable development of HVE, And the ideas, research purposes and research methods are also presented.Chapter Two analyzes the present conditions of the HVE in ourprovince and the main reasons for the restrictions of HVE.Chapter Three points out the motivations for the development of the HVE on the aspects of economic development, industrial structure, the process of modernization, the amount of populations, structure of labor force and per capital income, etc.Chapter Four supplies the according strategies to realize the sustainable developments of the HVE in Hunan from the macroscopic and microscopic aspects.
