Study On The Problems And Strategy For The Sustainable Development Of Private Colleges In Guangdong Province

The training goal of private higher vocational colleges is to cultivate application skilled personnel. The college’s social function is to meet the public demand for higher education, alleviate employment pressure, optimize the structure of human resources, improve the quality of the laborers, and promote economic development. Guangdong private higher vocational colleges in training skilled personnel, promoting the popularization of higher education play a positive role. At present, the Guangdong province private higher vocational colleges themselves exist many problems and development resistance. Although there are a number of unique school-running characteristics, outstanding achievement, good development trend of private higher vocational colleges, Guangdong province private higher vocational colleges haven’t form a healthy, sound and sustainable development of the situation. Guangdong province private higher vocational problems encountered in the process of sustainable development are worth pondering and need to be so lved. Its sustainable development, is not only the survival and development of private higher vocational education itself, but also to the whole higher education system has important strategic significance.Sustainable development of Guangdong private higher vocational should adhere three major principles: accelerate the development, ensure the scientific development and strengthen the independent development. Through literature, investigation and case study and found that there are four more prominent issues in sustainable development. First problem is the government overall planning, the government policy support, funds investment, weak government related management organization and unclear authority, which is a major problem to the sustainable development of private higher vocational colleges in Guangdong. Second problem is the institutional guarantee. Relevant laws and regulations which are related to the sustainable development of private higher vocational colleges in Guangdong province should be improved, and relevant laws and regulations’ operability needs to be improved. Third private higher vocational colleges own development problem. Unreasonable teachers troop structure of private higher vocational colleges in Guangdong province, imbalance school-running in regional, single school-running type, homogeneous major, school-running characteristics is not distinct, which are the intrinsic factor that restricts sustainable development of Guangdong private higher vocational. Forth private higher vocational internal management and evaluation problem, including private higher vocational legal system is not perfect, the internal management and operation mechanism is not smooth, quality assessment standards lack of innovation and so on. Therefore, perfecting the government overall planning guarantee mechanism, improving the law guarantee system of private higher vocational colleges, promoting the development competitiveness of private higher vocational education, optimizing the management and operation mechanism, which are the important guarantee to realize the sustainable development of private higher vocational colleges.
