Cheerleading was introduced into China at the beginning by the majority of young people of all ages. After ten years of promotion, development and popularization, China’s cheerleading has made certain achievements and a mass base. But in recent years China’s competitive cheerleading exercises development stagnation phenomenon, more and more contradictions and problems exposed, all sorts of problems has affected the competitive cheerleading the survival and development of the project. In this environment, how to realize the sustainable development of Cheerleading skills has become a problem worth researching.This study in Hunan Province college competitive cheerleading gymnastics as the research object, to 2015 Hunan Province Lala gymnastic competitions. Team as the research object, using literature data method, questionnaire survey method, expert interview method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, from four aspects of the competition situation, teaching status, training status and social and environmental conditions, and, of Hunan Province college competitive cheerleading exercises project development investigation, analysis, found the existing constraints, and puts forward the strategies to promote the sustainable development of Hunan Province skill cheerleading. The study is as follows:1, the needs of society, teachers safeguard, flexible promotion and education value advantages of university development skills cheerleading;2, the development of universities of Hunan province cheerleading time relatively early, and in the early stage of development won remarkable achievements. Although the current development of Hunan Normal University and the Hunan No.1 Normal School is not, but also has been carried out; and Huaihua University from development has maintained a steady rise in the state. Hunan province cheerleading competitions every year cheerleading team, and gradually emerging in the school.3, in Colleges and universities in Hunan Province has a number of outstanding gymnastics, aerobics gymnastics coaches, their age structure, education, physical activity level are more reasonable, competitive cheerleading exercise provides the development potential, but there are cheerleading training experience and professional ability of coaches less; athletes mainly from the same group of professional, can speed up the training process, but participating less, overall quality is not high and sex structure is unreasonable; in addition to Huaihua College, other colleges and universities training competition funds are students at their own expense;4, Hunan Province, the venue can basically meet the requirement of the training, but the lack of corresponding professional protection facilities; colleges and universities are lack of development strategy, the arbitrariness of the training; competitive cheerleading gymnastics athletes mostly received varying degrees of sports injuries, injuries occur frequently make athletes in training lack a sense of security.
