The purpose of the paper is to explore and illustrate the middle school mathematics classroom teaching mode that can not only effectively carry out the educational concept of the new school curriculum, but also meet the needs of the local classroom teaching. This mode is not only theoretically scientific and advanced, but also practicable and useful. First of all, in this paper a necessary exploration has been made on the concept of the new school curriculum, including the basic concept and the main features of the new school curriculum, the character of the mathematics textbook and the ideas of teaching and learning. Secondly, under this concept, a preliminary research has been carried out on the main teaching modes such as instructing mode, exploring mode and self-learning mode. And these modes have been comprehensively, actively and best designed and developed into "the Four-Step Teaching Mode". Finally, an illustration about the advanced and scientific concept of "the Four-Step Teaching Mode" as well as the process of carrying out the new school curriculum has been provided. In a limited field of teaching practice, a proof has also been given on the utility and practicability. And an effective way of the combination of the research on the theory and the proof from the experiments is used to illustrate as follows: "The Four-Step Teaching Mode" is not only based on the advanced theory but also widely proved to be practicable. It can not only provide practical materials to teaching researchers or educators but also provide theoretical instructions to a number of middle school teachers. The result of the research and pracatice in this paper shows that "the Four-Step Teaching Mode" can effectively carry out the concept of the new school curriculum and adapt itself to the actual teaching situation. It will have, if used properly, a profound historical meaning for the upgrading of the middle school mathematics classroom teaching as well as the teaching efficiency in other subjects. Meanwhile, it is of great significance to foster not only the students' spirits of self-helping, corporation, exploration and even innovation, but also the students' ability of practicing.
