Although many international comparative studies show that the performance in mathematics made by students in East Asia is superior to that of the western students, western scholars consider that the learning environment of the students in East Asia is far from being satisfactory. Thus the development of creativity of the students is damaged seriously. Under the influence of the creativity-oriented knowledge economy, how to create the suitable learning environment to promote the students' creativity is an urgent problem we now have to face.Based on an employment of theoretical research and from methodology of mathematics, cognitive psychology, creative psychology and other relevant theories respectively. This thesis firstly discusses the relevant issues as to the origin, definition of re-invention and learning environment. Then it deals with the definition of mathematics classroom learning environment based on the theory of re-invention, and analyzes seven basic features that it has: (1) to provide actual task from the reality. (2) to support mathematical conjecture. (3) to encourage problem posing. (4) to reflect cognitive activity. (5) to stimulate creative motivation. (6) to center on students in classroom learning. (7) to support communication in the field of Mathematics. Finally, from the angles of a interplay of mathematical context, cognitive context, communities of learning. This thesis centers on what learning environment should be created in mathematics under the influence of re-invention theory to promote productive learning. Based on a case study, feasible teaching pattern also has been suggested. Besides, principles of creating mathematics classroom learning environment based on the theory of re-invention have been elaborated.
