Martial arts movements get on popular on the whole world now, and its function on keeping fit receive people's acknowledge.The famous saying "pugilism origins form YI, theory is formed from medicine"in the martial area, summarized the intimate relationship between the martial arts theory and medicine. The martial arts theory is the initial drive that directs and promotes the martial arts movements towards the direction of keeping fit, and its theory resource comes from the soul of the Chinese traditional culture-traditional Chinese medicine. This article begins with the YIN and YANG doctrine of Chinese medicine, to analyze the initial keeping-fit-philosophy of martial arts.It has a long history of the martial arts' keeping fit. Several thousand years ago, people had known how to get keeping fit by "martial dancing" and "Taoist breathing exercise" during the martial arts' germinate period.The YIN and YANG doctrine of Chinese medicine, which is the ideology foundation of martial arts keeping fit theory, explains the organization and structure of human-body, by which it used to illustrate the movements of martial arts, and directs the martial arts keeping fit by the "balance between YIN and YANG" theory.Chinese medicine's "YIN and YANG doctrine" has deep affect to the martial arts keeping fit theory as follow.The first, fixing eyes upon the theory "QI of YIN and YANG", which is the source of martial arts keeping fit, Chinese medicine regards that QI is the basic substance that forms human-body and keeps vitality movements. The body would be healthy if the "QI of YIN and YANG" in the body is in the balance state. The martial arts movements practice and maintain "QI" by all kinds of ways, to achieve its balance state during the movement, in order to be the state of keeping fit.The second, fixing eyes upon the movements of YIN and YANG, which is the basic of the martial arts, the mobile "moving", the unique "stilling", and the overall movement that consistsof moving and stilling, all these embody the "balance between YIN and YANG" theory. What's more, the skilful exercise with the changing of sufficiency and insufficiency which bring rigidity and supple into line, embody the "transform between YIN and YANG". All these show the unique glamour of the YIN and YANG movements of the martial arts.The third, fixing eyes upon the "balance between YIN and YANG", which is the marrow of martial arts keeping fit, the movements and changes of YIN and YANG is a projecting characteristic of the martial arts movements. The "balance between YIN and YANG" theory of Chinese medicine has a deep affect on the Martial arts keeping fit theory. Chinese medicine regards that the balance state of YIN and YANG is the appearance of a healthy body. While, the martial arts movements combine the outside body exercise and the internal movement of the spirit and consciousness closely, to achieve an identical state between inside and outside of human body, embodying the balance between YIN and YANG.In short, Chinese medicine's theories such as "QI of YIN and YANG ", "movement of YIN and YANG", "balance between YIN and YANG" are the foundation of the martial arts keeping fit theory. They have an unobtrusively influence on the martial arts keeping fit theory. The unique exercise ways of the martial arts, conforming to the law of the movements of YIN and YANG, embodying the balance between YIN and YANG, form the unique keeping fit movement mode of martial arts.Our research will benefit to enriching the culture theory system of martial arts, supply meaningful reference to the further development of martial arts theory, and give a scientific theory directing to martial arts keeping fit movements. This research will be helpful to form an omnibearing and deep comprehend grasping about the scientific and practical nature of martial arts, have a more systematic and more deep comprehending to martial arts, and to make it a creed and theory basis to direct people's practice.
