At the beginning of the 21st century, the deep revolution and great development of society, economy and science and culture has entailed reform in mathematics education. The core of mathematics education reform lies in reform of mathematics curriculum. One of the most important works of mathematics curriculum is curriculum selection, for it is the foundation of the success of mathematics education reform and mathematics curriculum objective.Calculus is one of the most important courses in senior high school of China. Selected parts of Calculus in senior-high–school mathematics textbook is essential to fulfillment of the mathematics curriculum objective.This present dissertation tries to comment on the reform of curriculum selection of calculus in senior high school textbook of China. That is concerned in simple history, textbook and reform of curriculum selection etc. Having reviewed the traditional and modern curriculum selection of calculus of home and abroad, then some suggestions are put forward in order to contend.This present dissertation aims to do this basic research. By looking back on several reforms in senior-high-school mathematics curriculum and investigating and analyzing present situation of implementation of senior-high-school mathematics curriculum, this dissertation sums up historical experiences and lessons and law of the development of mathematics curriculum, and puts forward some advice and suggestions for the ongoing mathematics curriculum reform.This whole dissertation is composed of five parts (including six chapters).Part One, chapterⅠ, deals with the essential of curriculum selection of calculus in senior high school textbook. Part Two, chapterⅡand chapterⅢ, discusses relevant factors that have bearing upon reform of senior-high –school mathematics curriculum in items of theory, for the purpose of helping the ongoing reform fit in with relationship between these factors. Part Three, chapter Ⅳ, uses such methods as history researching and literature review to look back on and analyze the evolution of mathematics curriculum for senior high schools since the founding of the People Republic of China, summarizes experiences and lessons from all previous mathematics curriculum reform and tries to discover the law of the development of China's mathematics curriculum. Furthermore, having reviewed the traditional and modern curriculum selection of calculus of home and abroad, puts forward some advice and suggestions for the Curriculum Selection of the ongoing Calculus curriculum reform.Part Four, chapterⅤ, based on investigation and analysis of present implementation of senior-high –school mathematics curriculum in China, founding out advantages and disadvantages of the present mathematics curriculum, especially, of the curriculum Selection of calculus . And provides the ongoing mathematics curriculum reform with factual basis.Part Five, chapter Ⅵ, on the basis of the previous parts, puts forward some advice for curriculum Selection of calculus in the ongoing mathematics curriculum reform of senior-high-school in respects to its basic ideas, mathematics curriculum objective.
