As the coming of the era of globalization, carrying out multicultural education comes to be an important task in Middle School History Education of many countries in the world. History textbooks is the main carrier of multi-cultural course content, it represents the knowledge,values and tradition of social authority. As a national curriculum, how to show the outstanding culture of ethnic minorities and reflect the multicultural perspective in the history textbooks is a reality that deserves deeply investigation, because it helps people to respect and understand the history and culture of ethnic minorities. Also, it provides the students many choices of multicultural, develops their abilities of understanding and tolerant to the multicultural as well as their adaptation and developing capacity.This paper based on the theory of multicultural curriculum to analyze the selection and organization of ethnic minorities'culture in the textbooks of 7th grade Chinese history of Sichuan's education press by using content analysis. It aims to show the presentation of minority culture in textbooks as well as the problems and try to find out the reasons. Finally, do a rational thinking to the principles of the selection and organization of the ethnic culture to be part of content in the history textbooks, in order to provide some reference to the edition of Chinese history textbooks. There are five parts of in this paper:The first part:Preface. Form these aspects that development of multi-culture in the world,China's background of multi-cultural and the realistic demand of history education to the course of multi-culture to clarify the necessity and value of researching the minority culture in the national curriculum, and put forward research method of this article.The second part:Define some relative conceptions, and explain that the minority culture is the important part of the history textbooks that is the vital carrier which pass down the minority culture and provide opportunities to the students to study multiculture.The third part:To verify the present situation,characteristic and the problems of the ethnic culture in the history textbooks by analyzing and researching the content of ethnic culture in the Chinese history textbooks of Sichuan education press. Then investigating the reasons which have effect on the ethnic culture in the textbooks, as the basic foundation of the other corrective methods.The forth part:point out that the ethnic culture in the history textbooks has special features according to the analyzing and researching the content of ethnic culture in the Chinese history textbooks of Sichuan education press and the theory about the course of multi-cultural. The selection of ethnic culture must abbey the principles that the combining of pluralism and unity,the pluralism and the vitality and so on.The fifth part:Propose the methods and principles of the organization of the ethnic culture in the history textbooks by discussing the structure of Chinese history textbooks of Sichuan education press. At last, raise the problems still exist in this research and the object of study the related issues in the future.
