Sports exists everywhere in the realistic societies as a unique social phenomenon .A lot of objective facts prove that sports, as the most active factor, has had great influence upon human existing activities.This thesis deeply expounds the effect of sports from historic angle and the function of sports upon human existing activities so as to strengthen our knowledge about the significance of developing sports enterprise, improving the ability of human existence and settling human existing crisis. Through the exploration on the function of sports in human existing activities, it will come up to a high level in theory and conclude that sports can return human beings happiness.The thesis mainly consists of four parts. The first part analyzes our knowledge about sports, human existing activities and the relation between sports and human existing activities to make people understand sports is essential to human existence; the second part expounds the function of sports in the ancient and modern human existing activities through the analysis of the relation between ancient and modern sports and human existing activities; the third part analyzes the properties and cultural connotation of sports, current situation of human existing activities and potential problems, and puts forward the knowledge upon the function of sports in social environment construction and self environment construction; the forth part reaches the conclusion that sports can eventually make human beings happy by analyzing human deviation from knowledge upon sports and from self awareness. The four parts as well as a foreword and an ending makes the thesis integrated.The purpose of this thesis is to cast a brick to attract jade because there are few theses and articles in studying this theme.
