Environmental Education is an important issue which has been discussing by educationists all over the world. How to develop effectively Environmental Education? On the basic of studying many related documents, this thesis try to make out the concept, aim, meaning and the content of Environmental Education, grasp Environmental Education aim of Chinese middle schools and primary schools, find out the deficiency on Environmental Education of junior students of Lanzhou, and discuss in psychology, in order to find out a method and way that we can develop Environmental Education in our teaching.The survey finds out the reality of Environmental Education of junior students in our city like this: The environmental consciousness is defective and the behavior of protecting the surrounding is little. These points embody as follow: The environmental knowledge has not been grasped completely; attention on environment is deficient; the attitude on environmental protection is negative; the responsibility of environmental protection is no sufficient; and behavior on environmental protection is undisciplined.According to the psychological theory, it is a premise to up to Environmental Education, developing the environmental consciousness and learning environmental knowledge. But the emotion does not arise by itself. "The emotion, attitude and the value sense can experience and develop by all kind of teaching process." Applying these theories, during the process of Environmental Education, we should try our best to develop the research activities in order to make the learning process become the process of developing emotion.The way of Environmental Education in school is as follow: The content of Environmental Education is penetrated into the subject teaching (such as biology teaching, it research a kind of method that Environmental Education is soaked in the process of biology teaching); we should improve Environmental Education in the practical classes andtake part in the propaganda activity during these festivals about environmental protecting; and we can organize the interest group in school.
