| So far, the English language is the most widely used language in the world. A lot of information and achievements in the fields of science, commerce, economy, and technology are written and published in English, though the writers may be Chinese, Italians, or Japanese. It is impossible to get the information and technological knowledge without learning the English language, especially when China enters into WTO (World Trade Organization). The Chinese realize the importance of learning English once again, so there is another "Learning Rush" appearing in China. Then, how to learn the English language? And how to learn it well? They are questions that are related to the acquisition of English language learning.The acquisition of English language learning has been researching for many years. Among the works, many have referred to the factors that affect the English language learning. The factors, such as motivation, cognitive styles, learning strategies, culture, teaching methods, and so on affect the English language learning. But it is not proved whether they will affect the language learning of Chinese students, especially the acquisition of the students in senior high schools. This thesis will investigate the problem in order that it will be helpful for the future English teaching.The author hands out one hundred questionnaire papers to the students in No. 1 middle school. By analyzing the result of the questionnaire papers, it is proved that these factors also affect the students in a senior middle school. So in the future's English teaching, the teachers in senior middle schools should pay attention to them, and spur them on influencing English language learning efficiently and positively. |
