Modern Educational Technology, as the term suggests, means a combination of Modern Education and Technology. It is an application of the idea of holism and interdiscipline. With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the modern educational technology is playing more and more important role and can not be replaced in education which is taking on a new look.This thesis mainly involves the application states and the research of modern educational technology to English listening teaching in the middle schools in T county.The first part of this thesis tells the implication and characteristics of modern educational technology and talks about the developing process of the research and study on modern educational technology both at home and abroad. It is modern educational technology that where changes are being made to teaching and learning in many ways. Criterion of English Curricula For Senior Middle Schools issued by the Educational Ministry of the People's Republic of China in 2002 still sets higher demands on the English teachers.Part two deals with the aims and significance of the survey made by the author of this thesis and relates to the situation of the schools ,the teachers and the students that have been mentioned in the survey .This part also analyses the states and difficulties of modern educational technology applied in English listening teaching and learning in the schools where the investigation was taken.In the third part, an experiment on modern educational technology applied in English listening teaching and learning has been put forward. With the help of the author of this article, the experiment was made by a certain English teacher working in T county No:2 Middle School, Jiangxi Province. The conclusion shows that the experiment was successful and we gained a lot of practical experience andthat the experiment benefited the teachers as well as the students.In order to improve the English teachers' overall qualities and their understanding of modern educational technology, many measures will be taken. Teachers should master and apply the modern educational technology so as to foster the students better and should also constantly carry out English listening teaching reform.The fifth part tries to answer the questions of how to exploit the resources of English listening curricula by using the modem educational technology and shows how to improve the students' abilities of the skills arid methods of English listening taught by their teachers.The last part comes to several short conclusions and some brief reasonable thoughts on the application and spreading of modern educational technology to English listening teaching in middle schools, where we need to pay more attention to.
