Outside reading is very important to the middle school students,as we all know.But thepresent situation of the students'outside reading in Shenzhen is a big concern to US a11.Theydo it inactively,limitedly and ineffectively.In order to solve this problem,Shennan MiddleSchool has developed a"colorful reading"programme.After the all—member participatingactivity,giving full instructions and assessing systematically,we are glad to see most ofthestudents have come to enj oy reading,such as;reading many more books and reading booksof high quality than before.The''colorful reading''programme in Shennan Middle Schoolmust be an effective strategy to improve the outside reading situation.in ShenzhenPerfecting the programme and spreading it among all the students in Shenzhen will surelypush forward the outside—reading programme greatly.
