Creation is a permanent theme for social development and progress of human beings.The creation ability of a nation will be closely related with the rise and fall of a country, andtherefore, to improve the quality of a nation for creation has become a significant and pressingmission in front of us. Education should take an unshakable duty to provide training oncreation spirit and development of creation ability. The main purpose of quality educationencouraged vigorously nowadays is to improve the creation ability of students, where, toinspire the students' thinking is the top melody of the inspiring teaching art for teachers, andalso the core of teaching art for teachers. The core of thinking structure is the creativethinking, while the core of creative thinking is the divergent thinking. To train capablestudents of creation type in middle-school teaching, it must be started from training fordivergent thinking. Among so many courses, Chinese is the most important cultural carrierand the most communication means. It is a discipline featured by extremely high creation,and it has exclusively favorable conditions to train divergent thinking to the students.Therefore, to train divergent thinking to the students in Chinese teaching, the Chineseteaching workers will be duty-bound. In general view of present Chinese class teaching practice in middle school, it is easy tofind that around the marks and guided by emphasized thinking on examination for entering ahigher school, the education becomes somehow stiffening, which kills the rich personality ofteaching. Under such a traditional, isolated and dull educational influence, the creative spiritof students is restricted, and education falls behind the actual demand of economic and socialdevelopment. As a matter of fact, this is the goal to which the integral thinking wants to reach.One-sided emphasis of integral thinking may stop our knowledge permanently on the level ofour forefathers, and it is impossible to generate new theory and new thinking. To makecreation, the divergent thinking must be emphasized, because no creative seed and creativeachievement will be obtained without divergent thinking. All of creations and inventionsderive from the divergent thinking, and the divergent thinking is a breakthrough point fortraining creative ability of students. Creative ability constructs new imagination, andcreative things have the ability of new values. Chinese class teaching provides vast space for training of divergent thinking, andtraining for divergent thinking can be made in teaching on reading, writing, or linguisticknowledge. Therefore, to probe and summarize effective methods for training of divergentthinking in teaching of reading and writing will have positive promoting effect onimplementation of the new curriculum standard, promotion of the new curriculum reform, andtraining of creative thinking and creative spirit to students. In combination with my personalexperience in five years' teaching practice, the author of this thesis is proposed to summarizethe useful experience and in training divergent thinking to the students in the aspects ofreading and writing. This thesis is divided into three parts: Party One expounds training on divergent thinkingin teaching on reading. Based on several dozens of cases refined from more than 30 texts inteaching books, having summarized a series of effective methods on basis of practice andunder the guidance of theory. Party Two describes training on divergent thinking in teachingon writing. In consideration of the students' composition in conventional pattern, I havemade a lot of practice on class, and introduced orientation, method and specific classoperation for training on divergent thinking at different angles ranging from approach tomaterial selection. Part Three forwards principles and points for attention to be held up intraining on divergent thinking.
