As the grate development of minority nationality's education and the western areas, the proportion of Mongolian students in Inner Mongolian universities also gets bigger. Under this new situation, as a key link of the universities education in Inner Mongolian area, university students' physical education of Mongols and Hans becomes an important problem.The aim of university physical education is not only for strengthening students' physique, but also for developing their sport interest, so that they can keep doing physical exercises after they leave university. This issue is based on the know ledges of pedagogy, psychology, history, nationality and so on. It investigated the present situation on university students' sport study of Mongols and Hans, and then made the teaching experiment, which mixed the Mongolian traditional sport events in it. Its purpose is to find an effective way to improve university students' sport interest of Mongols and Hans.The research to the present situation shows: (1) The university students of Mongols shows stronger interest to the sport study and P.E. course than the ones of Hans. (2) The university students of both Mongols and Hans raise higher request to the P.E. course. About the time of the course, the university students of Mongols hope it would be longer. About the content, both of them don't like P.E. is just set for examination. The university students of Mongols hope there would be some Mongolian traditional sport events while the ones of Hans hope it would be more interesting. (3) There are still some difficult on understanding the course content and the mastering of the basic sport skill for the university students of Mongols, some one think it is a litter hard to accept new knowledge. (4) About the attitude to taking part in extracurricular sport activities, the university students of Mongols are more active than the ones of Hans, but the proportion of participating is much lower than the proportion of just watching. (5) The students who take active part in the sport matches organized by university always show high interest to the sport study and extracurricular sport activities. (6) The university students of Hans are not so familiar to Mongolian traditional sport events as the ones of Mongols, but they show strong interest to it.The research of the experiment shows: (1) In the university with a certain proportion of Mongolian students, it is not effective to arrange the common P.Ecourse, which only includes basic sport skill for training students' sport interest of Mongols and Hans. (2) Under the teaching situation of common P.E. course content, it is also not effective for training students' sport interest of Mongols and Hans if the university students of Mongols and Hans are taught separately or they don't have any communication. (3) When teaching students the basic sport skills, mixing the Mongolian traditional sport events to the course, which can improve their sport study interest remarkably. What's more, their enthusiasm to extracurricular sport activities is also improved a lot. (4) The most effective way is teaching them with the university students of Mongols and Hans in one class and with the Mongolian traditional sport events as one part of the P.E.course content or in the class of Mongolian students with the Mongolian traditional sport events as one part of the P.E.course content. (5) When the experiment is over, the university students of both Mongols and Hans have improvement in sport interest and its four factors, which reflects the experiment achieves good results. The reflection from Mongolian students is better than the students of Hans.
