Reading is an important way for one to exchange information with the outside world. It is the main task to train youngsters' reading interest, promote their reading ability, teach them to master reading method and keep good habit of reading in teaching middle school Chinese beyond passing on foundational Chinese knowledge. For a long time, the students have been treated as a knowledge container, and they receive education passively. The relationship between teachers and students is like that the teacher speaking while the students listening, the teacher writing on the blackboard while the students making notes, which is one of absolute submission. Therefore, the text itself is observed in teaching activity, and teachers are used to deepening understanding by themselves, then pass the writing background, the theme of the work, the experience of the writer, and the characteristic of the writing to the students completely with their own comprehension and teaching references, which is a process of typical transmission and acceptance. It neglects the role of middle school students being a main body without doubt. Necessary connection between the readers and the object work becomes impossible, while the teacher monopolizes everything as a medium, which violets the essence of reading. That teaching model has the feather of teacher as a center and the teacher speaking while the students listening, which neither supports teaching quality and efficient nor is benefit to training students' divergent, critical and creative thought, and it has no good in training qualified person with initiative and practice ability.It is well known that reading and reading teaching are very important. The reality of inefficient reading teaching is coming into people's notice. Many people attempt to pursuit a way to promote reading efficiency, especially on today of advocating accomplishment education. The writer thinks it means essence regression of education to respect and develop individual life in reading and reading teaching.
