In modern society, on the one hand the material life is abundant and on the other hand the significance and value of life are list so. People become far away from life and forget life gradually. The life problem becomes conspicuous and life, as a theme, becomes outstanding in modern society. Therefore, people begin to pay more attention to and ponder over the problems concerning life and bring the theme of life into the study vision. Education, which trains people and has close relation with people and their lives, also makes every effort to bring the theme of life into its vision and radicates its purport as showing care for people's life and helping people to realize their good life. On the basis of reflections on the actual life and cherishing the hope that education should not only become a kind of means to promote good life but also should be a wish for good life, this paper poses "educational life" as a new concept of the pedagogy which is to mean people's special life in education. The author expects to inspect people's general life state in education and review the realistic educational problems by the analysis of people's realistic educational life. And the author hopes that education will really concern people's life, make people live better in education and make people learn to live and to create good life in education. For these reasons, the first part of this paper elucidates the intrinsic relations between education and life by the deep analysis of the relationship between them, and points out that education is life and a kind of special life, by which the concept of "educational life" is posed. Then the paper analyzes the special meaning of the concept and understands its meaning further through classifying explanations. The second part of the paper puts forth effort to analyze the actual educational life. Through analyzing students' life state as a whole, the paper holds that the "educational life" has deep crisis, mainly referring to the lost of its own connotation which is shown in these ways: the realistic educational life can't be shown as a kind of true and real life, and can't promote people's life to grow up and develop better, thus people's life and living value are weakened and reduced. The inherent reason is that education ignores life, alienates life and faith is absent in life, so the paper puts forward to reconstructing "educational life". The third part of the paper firstly seeks the theoretical foundation in education and philosophy for reconstructing "educational life" by analyzing the true meaning of education and discussing the theory of life world. Then this paper puts forward to the basic principles of reconstructing "educational life": the principle of integrality and unity, the principle of representing the age's characteristics, the principle of ultimate care. On this basis, this paper plans to pose constructing living-education and make it the ideal pursuit of reconstructing "educational life". And also the paper expounds its meaning theoretically, endues it with the value of life and living, and finally discusses in brief some concrete goals which living-education should bring into effects in educational practice. The conclusion puts forward that pedagogy should show loving care for life of people, and pedagogy research should pay attention to concrete life of people in education and to people's actual life state in education, and should research people, people's life and the actual life world of people through thinking about the theme of this paper further. And only in this way, education can really promote the realization of bright life of people.
