The Present Condition Of The Psychological Counseling In University: The Investigation In Hubei Province

Recently, along with the fast development of the economy and the quick living rhythm, there are more and more factors that make the students nervous. So the importance of the psychological counseling in university has caught people's attention. Though there has been some scholars pay attention to the developmental situation of the psychological counseling in university, seeing from the achievements, these researches still exists many shortage. This research which stands on the past achievements makes a survey on many facets of the psychological counseling's status in university in Hubei province, and the main purpose is to analyze the existing questions in the psychological counseling working and to explore its developmental mode. Furthermore, via this investigation, the author hopes to give some useful suggestions to the psychological counseling working in Hubei province and other provinces, and promote the psychological counseling in university in our nation. The research results show that the distribution of the gender and the age of the psychological counselors in university in Hubei province are still reasonable, but many consultants lack of formal professional trainings. A lot of psychological consultative departments have established for few years, which lack independent location and the full time wokers. Moreover, many subjects report that they often use the consultative theory in cognition and behaviorism, and they need some practical training. The mode of the psychological counseling in university in Hubei province is developmental consultative mode, and most of the consultative questions focus on the emotion and interpersonal relationship. Many psychological counselor in university all think that the shortage of the specifically resource and lacking of the professional training are the main obstacle to the development of the psychological counseling in university in Hubei province.
