Curriculum resource is a crucial point of the new curriculum reform in Chinese elementary education. On historical subject, the exploitation of all kinds of curriculum resources will play a positive role in the implementation of the new curriculum standant ,and the development of middle school historical teaching reform. It is very abundant thanks to the peculiarity of history. The distinguishing feature is that it has rich source materials and condition. It should be fully exploited and used in history education. The purpose of this article is to approach the concept classification and use of historical curriculum resources and its exploitation and use.The history curriculum resources contain the element source and the essential direct practical conditions which form the history curriculum. It can be divided into two classes according to its functions, that is, the history curriculum resources about materials and the ones about conditions. It is investigated that the present exploitation and use of the history curriculum resources are focused on history textbooks and reference books, which are used for teaching, the important human resources among students and history teachers. Besides the exploitation and use of the web , film and TV works, multi-media historical softwares are rising steadily.We have to understand its significance clearly just to exploit and use the history curriculum resources more deeply. Firstly, the history curriculum resources about materials are the elemental origins of history. There is no history curriculum without this. Secondly, the ones about conditions are the guarantee that the history curriculum can be put into effect smoothly. Moreover, the history curriculum resources will have a tremendous influence on the reform of Chinese elementary education.We have to follow these principles to exploit and use the history curriculumresources, they are: being open, verying with each individual, taking measures suited to local conditions,being economical.Methods of exploitations are mainly: social survey, the development of all kinds of conditions that are good for implementation of history curriculum, consideration of students' situation, examination and use of history curriculum resources outside school, stocking the history curriculum resources.How can we make the exploited history curriculum resources play a positive role? According to the object of using, the using of history teaching materials especially of textbooks should be placed before everything else. And we should develop the lountry and community resources. According to the manner of using, the effective method is to launch social practice.In addition we should strengthen the multi-media auxiliary teaching and use the internet resources fully. Under present circumstances, these resources such as museums and libraries can be exploited in a planned and organized way.There are some problems in the course of exploitation and use of these resources. Such as, the awareness of exploitation is to be enhanced, the difficulty in funds, time and security. But in the wake of deepening of the elementary education reform the consciousness of the importance can be developed, more resources can be exploited and Used rationally and effectively, then they can play a positive role on the historical education.
