The Actuality And Influential Factors Of Urban Neighborhoods

This paper primarily describes the actuality of urban neighborhood in the way of questionnaire survey. Combined with some statistical methods, it also explores the influential factors of urban neighborhood and how they work from the view of social change, individual-interaction and function. The first part states the background of the study. Reviewing the related literatures, it classifies academic points, demarcates the concerned conceptions, and points out the limits of those researches The second part offers the strategy of the research. It includes the kind and the significance of this paper, the means of sampling and disposal, and the manipulation of the main variables.The third part makes detailed description about the following aspects of urban neighborhood, including the scale and constitute of neighborhoods, individual interaction between neighborhoods, and the cognition and identification of neighborhoods. With the help of cross-classification and two-tailed test, it then finds out the main characters and differences of urban neighborhood in modern society.The fourth part introduces the correlating matrix and the logistic regression to analyze how and why the factors act on urban neighborhood. Using the factor analysis, it further elicits three concentrated factors, which display the effect system of urbanization infiltrating the neighbourhoods, changes.The last part is the conclusion and discussion. Combined with the cultural connotation and current problems, the basic conclusions are summarized, the deficiencies of the thesis are put into light, and the suggestions to enhance the future researches are provided.
