《New English Curriculum Standards》 (2001) demands clearly that Primary and Middle School English courses emphasizing on the development of the students integrated language competence, advocates the learning methods of experience practice, participant, cooperation,communication and approach of task-based teaching, making the process of learning language the one that develops the students' active sensibility, thinking and experience bravely, raising the students' cross -culture consciousness and the ability of studying independently.《New Curriculum Standards》 absorbs the new international achievements of English Education, makes our English Education follow the development of international education.The essay analyzes English application from the views of language theories. The task-based teaching can solve the present problems that exist in current English learning of Middle school students. Solving problems in learning, completing the authentic tasks with the help of the new rationale of task-based teaching and the junior students' cognitive features, we use the task-based approach and test its validity. For example, the procedures and designs in applying task-based teaching, the classroom activities, the teachers roles they play in teaching, activating the students' motivations while completing the learning tasks to make them become the autonomous learners. And dealing with the exams of task-based teaching and teaching assessment.
