Decision-making is the highest embodiment of human consciousness go-aheadism, so, with the rapid development of science and technology in our society, the ability of decision-making has been a standard of measurement, even, it has been necessary to exist and develope for people. At present, students have possessed the ability to analyze social problems and put forward own viewpoint with science knowledge, but they don't understand the twosideness arose by the development of science, technology and society. Therefor, we should train them to enhance their decision-making in chemistry teaching for adapting the development of society. Firstly, this paper retrospected the evolution of decision-making behavior from experience to science, and discussed the theoretic foundation for studying decision-making behavior from the dimensions of epistemology and cognitive psychology, which pointed out that decision-making was a leading cognition based on realism, and it was also a process of cognition to choose the best. At the same time, it made people know that the ability of decision-making was trainable, this had important foundation of directing for students. Secondly, combining with the characteristic of students, the paper defined the terms of decision-making and decision-making ability, brought forward that the decision-maker were students and decision-making object were the problems related to chemistry which students met in the process of study or life. Furthermore, the paper introduced the generic course of decision-making activity and raised the basic pattern of cultivation. Thirdly, because science inquiry is the entrance to curriculum reform, the paper contrasted the process of science inquiry with basic pattern of decision-making, educed the instruction pattern of inquiry. The aim is to cultivate students' the ability of decision-making during the activity of science inquiry, which is coincident with the goal of new curriculum reform. Last, according to the generic course and characteristic of decision-making, the paper illustrated the curriculum contents which were fit to cultivate students' decision-making ability, including exercises, chemistry experimental design and STS education contents. Besides, teachers need change education ideas and pay attention to train students' decision-making thoughtway.
