Children's Culture In The View Of Education

This is the study to a dissertation about children's culture in the view of education. The study that is rooted in children's unique life situations and lifestyles which children form in interaction with the specific circumstances in which they live, I have been pay more attention for children's mental and behavior in this dissertation. Children's culture is children's participation in all matters that directly concern them and that they have a say in what takes place in their everyday lives. A children's culture presumes that children learn how to determine their life-worlds themselves as extensively as possible.The purpose of this article, thus, is to investigate the situation of children's culture in our school, it explores questions such as: What is children's culture? What are the basic characters? What does the situation of children's culture in our school? Has it being suppressed by our school education? What are success examples about children's culture curriculum? How they help our children education?This dissertation explores and discusses these questions in the view of school education: Firstly, the definition about children's culture and introduction about basic characters are given; Secondly, by choosing a sample of three classes and applying qualitative research method, the dissertation describes and interprets educational behavior of teachers. It is obvious that children's culture is depressed in our school education. So the dissertation points out, the schooling should respect children and accept children's culture, on the other hand, teachers should raise awareness of appreciation of children's culture; Thirdly, the successful sample of the Reggio curriculum is presented. We should use the Reggio experience to learn about ourselves-to raise our awareness about the connection between culture and educational practice in the China.
