Along with WTO accession and economic globalization, the competition in China's higher education market becomes much severer. The higher education market has its special competition mechanism. However, there are many problems in the China's higher education market, such as inconsistent cognition, diversified standpoints, research insufficiency, imperfect policy and the like. After describing the status of higher education market competition, this paper analyzes the development trend of the higher education from the angle of competition mechanism of higher education market in China. This paper aims at helping education organizations to understand the law and trend of higher education market competition, and thus to adopt reasonable competition strategy according to the actual circumstance. Moreover, this paper also puts forward some policy suggestions.This paper includes seven Chapters. In Chapter 1, the research foundation, methods and literature review are introduced. Chapter 2 analyzes the current situation in China's higher education market. Chapter 3 continues to analyze the competition mechanism in China's higher education market. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 discuss the impacts of government policy and WTO on the higher education market competition mechanism in China respectively. In Chapter 6, the major influencing factors of higher education organization in market competition are brought forward. Some conclusion and suggestions are drawn out in Chapter 7.
