In the knowledge-economy epoch,society puts forward a higher request to the education of the talents,education becomes more and more important. The traditional education has not meet the remand of the new times. The most educators goes into the teaching innovations to meet the needs of the times,it has gained great achievement at teaching ways and so on. Setting the teaching goal is a most aspect in the teaching. Effective goal-setting can raise the teaching quality,it has great significance to deepen the teaching innovations and complete the shortcomings at the traditional teaching. By means of the methods,such as documentary and data, teaching experiment, mathematical statistics,logical and systematical ways,this paper studies the feasibility for Goal-Setting Theory in the long-jump class and strictly designs the facts for the teaching experiment. According to the model of higher performance of the theory of Goal-Setting,the method in the long jump teaching is studied in this paper. This paper analyzes the difference between traditional teaching and experiment. Connecting with improve the interesting in the long jump teaching. This theory tries to turn the situation of acceptable-learning,helps students to learn. On the same time,this paper studies the request to students subject and the teachers initiative. The teaching of P.E. technology class demands the teacher and students complete the teaching-ask in the limit time. The theory of Goal-setting in the long jump proves its feasibility, enriches the method and theory, leads the teaching. It stimulates the students attentions﹑effort﹑insist and establishing new study strategy etc. Also puts forward the request the teacher to establish the concrete measurable and evaluation target,makes clearly time limit, makes use of compared with others goal and compared with self goal,insures the target turned by student's,considers the individual difference,on time feedback and understand the result etc. As a new teaching theory, Goal-setting theory has many shortcomings, but we should know the successes. In short,Goal-setting theory and its model to P.E technology teaching will be active and predominant effect.
