| America is one of the countries with the most developed private schools, and private schools play an important role in diversifying the revenues of education, meeting the multiple educational needs of the society, improving the quality of education, and promoting the efficiency of educational resources. The article investigates the external conditions in which American private schools exist and develop from three aspects. The first is the cultural and historical condition. It means that the multiple communions which existed from the beginning of American history have founded the religious private schools; the ideology of freedom, democracy, equality, and human rights has provided an ideal foundation for individual and private groups holding schools; and the noble history of American private schools has made American people deeply identify private schools. The second is the social condition. It means the material, manpower and information exchanges between the private schools and the individual and groups interested in private schools. The groups and individual include religion groups, industrial enterprises, educational accreditation associations, public schools, alumni and parents. The third is the national support and guidance for private schools. At last, the article analyzes the highlights we get from the investigation of the external conditions. |
