Starting from the broad social background of modern science—technology and industrial development, Dewey had studied the vocation education which not only on general education theory, but also on vocational education. His ideology system of vocational education was embodied in the intension of vocation education, the ways of practice, the curriculum system, etc. finally, the paper sums up the main characteristic and draws some useful experiences by analyzing Dewey's vocational education ideology.Dewey's thoughts on vocational education not only have it's important status in history, but also in today. It can give us many directions in the reform of vocational education.
