Vocational education is an important part of our national education system and human resources development.As the "father of modern vocational education in China",huang yanpei always took "unemployed and employed" as his lifelong goal.With the development of huang yanpei's theory and practice of vocational education,it is a process of inheritance,development and improvement to develop from the original pragmatic education thought to the big vocational education thought.As a world-renowned educator,Dewey always maintains that "all education is professional".As an important part of Dewey's educational theory,vocational education thought was put forward in the background of the development and changes of modern industry,science and social life,with distinct characteristics of The Times.The correct and scientific theory of vocational education is conducive to the healthy development of vocational education and has a far-reaching impact on the promotion of social economy and even international status.However,the thought of vocational education that does not conform to the law of social development will hinder students' understanding of the occupation,increase students' troubles in different positions and occupations,lose the opportunity of employment and entrepreneurship,and block the reform of economic and industrial structure.It is the centenary of Dewey's visit to China.It is of far-reaching significance to review the classics and analyze the great contributions made by the two scholars to the theoretical and practical development of vocational education.This paper mainly USES documentary method,historical research method and comparative method to make a comparative analysis of huang yanpei's and Dewey's vocational education thoughts according to different dimensions.Firstly,this paper expounds the differences between huangyanpei and Dewey's family backgrounds and personal experiences,as well as their national conditions and cultural backgrounds,and reveals the historical roots of their thoughts on vocational education from micro and macro levels.Secondly,the author chooses several aspects of huang yanpei's and Dewey's vocational education thoughts that areclosely related to the modern educational trend: value concept,course content,teaching form,implementation method and the influence on home and abroad as the basis for comparative analysis.By pointing out the similarities and differences and expounding the reasons for the differences,it is more conducive to expanding the thinking of contemporary Chinese vocational education researchers and developing the vocationaleducation in China with The Times.Finally,on the basis of the in-depth understanding of huang yanpei and Dewey's vocational education thoughts,this paper puts forward three inspirations for the reform and development of vocational education thoughts in contemporary China.Reflect on the development of vocational education and improve it in the reform;Building a vocational education model with Chinese characteristics and developing in peace.
