This article attempts to analyze the connotation of two important concepts of "Empiricism" and "Life Aesthetics" in Dewey's pragmatic aesthetic thoughts,as well as some important propositions in Dewey's educational thoughts,"education is life","child-centered ","learning from doing " and so on,and to discuss one of the practice aspects of children's aesthetic education in Chicago experimental school,which is founded by Dewey.The proposition,under the influence of Dewey's pragmatic aesthetic thought,thinks from the three aspects of the main body of education,the content of education and the process of education.How should education be carried out in order to have aesthetic factors and achieve the goal of aesthetic education.The text is composed of five parts,namely the introduction,the second chapter of Dewey's aesthetic thought,the third chapter of the interconnection between Dewey's aesthetic thought and educational thought,the fourth chapters of Dewey's aesthetic theory and the theoretical practice of education and the conclusion.The first part of the introduction is a review of previous research results,which shows the research emphasis and methods.The other part briefly introduces the influence and enlightenment of Darwin's theory of biological evolution,Hagel's philosophy and James' s instinct theory of psychology on Dewey's pragmatism.The chapter 2 introduces the basis of Dewey's aesthetic education thought,namely,Dewey pragmatism aesthetics,by expounding the two important concepts of Dewey's pragmatism aesthetic thought: empiricism,life aesthetics,and understanding that art comes from daily life experience,which is the state of daily life experience to be satisfactory.Then,the relationship between the two concepts and Dewey's aesthetic education thoughts is discussed.The chapter 3 discusses the three important concepts of Dewey's pragmatism,"education with no aim ","education and experience","education is life",and expounds the interconnection between Dewey's aesthetic thoughts and educational ideas.That is,Dewey's aesthetic thoughts and educational ideas are not separated from each other in Dewey's ideological system,and Dewey's aesthetic education is a part of Dewey's educational thought,and is also the implementation of Dewey'saesthetic thought in education."Education" is the root of "aesthetic education",and "aesthetic education" is built on the basis of "aesthetic" theory.The chapter4 bases on the practice base of Dewey's aesthetic theory and educational theory-Chicago experimental school,from Dewey school curriculum content,teaching methods,teacher-student relationship and other aspects of Dewey's pragmatism aesthetics and the specific practice of education.The conclusion is a summary of the main points of the full text.
