It is not long before probability and statistics becomes a part of senior high school mathematics teaching. Until recently, it becomes a content of Common College Entry Examination. Teaching of probability and statistics is less studied in mathematics education field. Most researches in this field belong to the research on methods in problem solving.According to the results of this research, the author put forward the following main conclusions:1. The four main jumping-off points of probability and statistics teaching :knowledge, psychology, theory of teaching ,philosophy and culture jumping-off points.2. There are many mathematics thoughts in probability and statistics in senior high school, such as classifying and discussing thought, proportion thought and mathematics modeling thought etc.3. Two familiar teaching patterns are put forward.4. Some principles on making courseware are put forward via the research on the integrating modern education technology and teaching of probability and statistics.Many aspects of the research on high school probability and statistics teaching should be further studied, such as teaching patterns that aim to cultivate cognitive and thinking ability of students and the teaching patterns based on modern education technology.
