An Investigation Of English-learning Stress Model And Intervention Among Junior High School Students

Stress is one of the important problems in the realms such as domestic and international psychology, physiology and medical science etc., which pay great attention to the problem recent years. There are many phenomenon of psychological stress in English learning process. This article analyses the stress modes in English learning of junior high school students, discloses the developmental mechanism of psychological stress in English learning, and discusses the characters of junior high school students. At last, it makes out practicable solutions to promote the process of English learning. In English learning process, there are three factors which are important sources of stress: First, there are factors in the teaching process, including the wrong idea and behavior by teachers, the inferior quality of teacher, and the teaching skill without attraction. Second, the factors in the learning process are also important sources of stress. Emotional obstacles are the main representation of it. Absence of interests of learning English or detesting learning is one of the serious problems in junior high school students. Learning anxiousness is another emotional obstacle. All of these obstacles lead to the students'weariness, anxiousness, and even horror. What's more, English learning strategy is also one of the sources of stress in learning process. It is one of the variables which affect the achievement of English learning. The junior high school students have no ability to apply the strategy voluntarily, which could lead to the failure or setback. Then the stress emerges.
