Being college students in the transitional period of a society, the life-style,idea and behavior of these students are highly influenced by the socialinformatization, market economy shocks, enrollment and employmenttransition and the increase of only children in campus. At the same time, theyare limited by some social systems. All these factors prevented them fromactively using their knowledge, skills and criterion in the construction ofsociety and finally bring them a feeling of discomfiture. And then, that makesthe students persecuted by unhealthy emotion and causes some psychologicalproblems of college students and a series of social problems. Some even causeserious mental problem or leads to suicides. In that sense, it is not only afailure of family and school education, but also a failure of the socialization ofcollege students. Consequently, we should focus on the discomfiture of collegestudents and the reason of it; analyze their reaction and trying to find out theway to alleviate it. That would be very helpful in strengthening the volition ofstudents and the improvement of education and management. It is still veryimportant for the socialization of college students. When dealing with the origin and development of discomfiture, psychological analysis emphasize on individual. Though psychologistsgradually pay more attention of social influences, they still use social cultureand social structure as a parameter. They simply describe the formation of thefeeling of discomfiture as a procedure of reaction to stimulation andemphasize it is the failure of self adjusting that cause discomfiture. On onehand, they focus on the system of psychological self adjusting. On the otherhand, they think the society as an object which restricts the individual.Inspired by the action-structure theory of British socialist Gratins, I heretry analyzing the collective conformity consciousness, focusing mainly on thedeep reason of the discomfiture of Chinese college students which wasgenerated in the conflict between daily social action and transitional structureof the society. The structural theory was one of the most important theories of Gratins. From the aspect of practical theory and survival theory, Gratins introduced theduplicate structure assumption which was the basis of structural theory. Thetheory can be explained as the structural concepts in people mind whichfocusing on the social practical structure instead of traditional logic. It is notthe decision made by language practice but practical consciousness which wasformed by practice.Although college students are mature physically, they are in thetransitional period from being immature to mature. As the special social groupthey bear high aspiration and hopes for the society. Thus they the easily getdiscomfiture which was very normal. Different environments and needs andmotives are of different importance to individuals. Different people feeldifferently towards frustration objectively. At the same time, they affect thecollege students'behavior. However, the students nowadays have the samesocial environment; namely, they share the same social, political, economic, cultural, environment. Therefore, their discomfiture shares some commonfeatures. Many aspects contribute to the frustration of the college students, but tworesults in it, namely internal and external factors. External factor includesenvironment and social environment factors. Under the scope of sociology andsocial psychology, we can analyze their frustration by individual social rule, family collective and social structure, etc. The reason why college studentseasily get frustrated is the process where their conception and the socialculture and regulations around them affect and influence each other. Study, personal intercourse, love and job dilemma are included. Their frustration isnot the sole result of either the students themselves or the university principalsand regulations. It is from the form the process of the interaction,...
