Recently, Academic help-seeking becomes increasingly one of the important research topics in educational psychology. It is the attitude and behavior, with which students seek help from others when meet problems those students cannot solve by them while studying. From the angle of self-regulated learning, it has the function of self-regulation that can shorten the distance between current level and expected level. And what's more, with the research further, more and more scholars think consistently that academic help-seeking is not only a very important self-regulated learning strategy for students, academic achievement and success in future, but also a significant ability with which students can regulate and improve social environment to promote their study through the way of regarding others as helpful resources. The aim of the research is to explore the developmental characteristics of academic help-seeking among Junior Middle School Students (JMSS) and train their attitude and behavior effectively. Then help students to break away the mental burdens, master effective strategies and methods to improve the ability of study and social interaction. With the adoption of questionnaire, the attitude and behavior of academic help-seeking characteristic of 646 JMSS is studied and actualized the training blue print in one experimental class by use of the mental training method. The results show that: 1. The attitude of academic help-seeking (1) There is no remarkable difference between sexes in attitude of academic help-seeking among JMSS. (2) There is remarkable difference in grade of the benefits and costs of academic help-seeking from teacher. The benefits from teacher present the trend of declining, the benefits from classmates present the trend of hoisting; the costs from teacher present the shape of "v", the costs from classmates present the shape of reversing "v". (3) There is remarkable difference between village students and city students. (4) There is clear disparity in costs of help-seeking from classmates and the costs from teacher and classmates among the JMSS between the high-level and low-level performance. 2. Behavior of academic help-seeking (1) Boys have more behavior of executive help-seeking than girls, . (2) Instrumental help-seeking and executive help-seeking present the shape of reversing "v"in Junior middle school stage, but avoidance of help-seeking presents the trend of hoisting. (3) More avoidance of help-seeking appears in the nationality of Han than Mongolian. (4) There is clear differences in behavior of academic help-seeking between high level of performance and low level,s. 3. The relations among academic achievement goal orientation, academic self-efficacy and the academic help-seeking. Academic achievement goal orientation and academic self-efficacy can impose great influences on academic help-seeking. 4. Traing effects The results of training research show that: The training can transfer the students of experimental class on the benefits and costs of attitude from classmates, avoidance of help-seeking, performance-avoidance goals of academic achievement goal orientation, curriculum qualification of academic self-efficacy and mathematic performance to positive directions. Therefore, the training of academic help-seeking influences the attitude and behavior of academic help-seeking effectively. Combing with the data of classroom observations and interview, this research discusses the developmental characteristics of academic help-seeking and the relations among academic help-seeking, academic achievement goal orientation and academic self-efficacy. On the basis of it, the research actualizes the training blue print in one experimental class effectively. So the research can not only enrich the theory in academic help seeking but also provide proper references for teaching in Junior middle school stage.
