【Objective】In view of the deficiency of Chinese primary and secondary nutrition education (NE) research, this thesis aims to get a better understanding of present education standard and its relevant courses and puts forward an initiative proposal on NE curriculum model. 【Subjects and Methods 】993 students were assigned to do the nutrition KAB(Knowledge-attitude-behavior) questionnaire for the NE effect in primary and secondary school. 958 parents ,246 teacher and 67 headmasters were treated as secondary targets.134 students were intervened and 194 teaching sessions were observed for the effect of NE carried in Labor technology course. Based on the good understanding of present situation and a large influx of practical suggestions, were the students, parents, teachers and headmasters investigated into the questions of NE. Combine comparative studies conducted on foreign cases, the thesis offer its proposals on the NE curriculum model, relating to curriculum establishments, organization, content building and the countermeasure. 【Results】1. Students'nutrition knowledge is limited. The rate of ordinary level and advanced level is respectively: urban area students 28.7% and 10.7%; rural area 18.0% and 3.1%. Primary school students 16.3% and 3.5%; junior middle school students 36.0% and 20.0%; senior middle school students 41.6% and 10.4%. The students'awareness rate of "the Dietary Guideline"and "the Food Pyramid"is 17.2% and 23.6% respectively. 95.5% of the students belive that there's a need for NE.68.7% of the students show interest in nutrition knowledge and 54.8% of the students are willing to take nutrition courses.Different levels of nutrition behavior defects still exist among the students in urban and rural area. 2. Immediately and 6 months after the intervention by Labor and technology course, the rate of ordinary level and advanced level is found to have risen greatly. 12 months after the intervention, a declining tendency has been detected. Immediately after the intervention, there's little change have been found in terms of students'nutrition attitude and behavior. After the prior intervention among teachers with "Project Method", the students learning independence and initiatives are found to have increased greatly. 3. NE curriculum offering should be based on the following two principles: Curriculum establishment should be mainly on integrated curriculum while making Branded curriculum subsidiary; Subject Curriculum and activity curriculum should be simultaneously conducted. The courses should be carried out and intervened continuously for students from Grade 1~12 with due attention to the influence from family and society. Curriculum content should be comprehensive by projected based on the curriculum type of relevant courses, subject characteristics and students age characteristics. Curriculum content for different teaching terms should be arranged in a hierarchical from. Teaching content for different courses should be prioritized differently and according to students'daily life. This thesis offers a specific design on Chinese NE curriculum model, emphasis on a content system. The thesis appealing for the need for further development of the course guideline of NE core curriculum, the need for perfecting the teaching evaluation system, the need for the study of teachers'training and development model, and the need for the development and utilization of curriculum resources.
