The primary nutrition education is a necessary requirenment of ensuring students’healthy growth and improving the national physical quality. With the great changes in the social economy, culture, lifestyle and environment, the primary nutrition education becomes more and more urgent. Nowadays, many schools across the country have realized the importance of nutrition education in primary school and carried out the development and implementation of school-based nutrition curriculum. On the whole, although much progress has been made in the primary and middle school nutrition education of our country, there are still some problems to be solved. Now for educators, it doesn’t only need to changed the idea of education and pay more attention to school nutrition education, but also to carry out the school-base nutrition education effectively.The literature-research method, case-study method and survey-study method were mainly used to study the situation of school-based nutrition education at home and abroad in this topic. Primary school A of Shanghai was focused as a model school in nutrition education and its successful experience and problems in development and implementation of school-based nutrition education was analyzed.The present status of primary school A was studied by interviews of students and investigation, and specific measures were proposed.The research shows that sudents’nutrition KAB is obviously improved, the teachers’concept of nutrition education was changed, the ability of curriculum development and implementation was improved, support from families and communities were got through the development and implementation of shool-based nutrition education.But in the same time, the research shows that there are some problems in the exploitation and utilization of education resources, the safeguards of curriculum implementation and the education quality of school-based curriculum. According to the further analysis and survey of this topic, the caused of the problems were summarized as below:the education quality was affected by little education resource sharing, some nutrition teachers lack professional knowledge, management and safeguard of school-based nutrition education is not effective enough.On the basis of analysis and study, some measures were proposed in this topic:To improve the teachers’professional nutrition knowledge and curriculum ability through expert training and team learning; To establish an effective incentive and guarantee mechanism by improving the teachers’ curriculum leadership, strengthening the exploitation and sharing of education resources; Nutrition education is a systematic project and its development and implementation need the school, family and other social members to work together.Only in this way, the best results in development and implementation of school-based curriculum can be received.
