Trust is important to organization because it is the basic mechanism for organization operation and a factor maintaining organizational efficiency and existence. University, as a kind of special social organization, also have trust phenomenon, which is different from corporation organization and other social organizations. The study pays attention to trust between teachers and students in university organization. Trust between teachers and students closely is related to the development of university organization, which is the hard core of trust in university organization and has important significance and function on university organization. However, it not only lacks quantity in concerned study, but also has a lot of shortages in objects, angle of view, content and measures. Therefore, it defines concept and dimensionality of trust between teachers and students based on the related research theories in psychology field, sociology field and organizational behavior field in the research, then designed questionnaire to survey recently status of trust between teachers and students which offers bases for making suggestions. The study can enrich theoretic content of research on trust in organization and trust in university organization, as well as offer gist for increasing trust between teachers and students. By adopting self-designed Trust Questionnaire between Teachers and Students, self-designed Relation Questionnaire between Teachers and Students and Rotter's Interpersonal Trust Questionnaire, it surveys 433 students and 212 teachers from three universities in Guilin of Guangxi province in the study and eliciting the following conclusions: (1) Self-designed Trust Questionnaire between Teachers and Students and self-designed Relation Questionnaire between Teachers and Students had good validity and credibility. The factor analysis obtains Questionnaire A and B each of which includes 4 factors, namely, moral quality, knowledge, ability, sensibility and Questionnaire D and E each of which includes 3 factors, namely, go-aheadism, depth, intimacy. (2) Both student subjects and teacher subjects are lower in mean of trust between teachers and students than theoretic median of questionnaire. (mean is 2.92 and 2.98.) Mean of dimensionality from the highest to the lowest are sensibility, ability, moral quality and knowledge. (3) The student subjects exist significantly differences (P<.01,P<.05)in trust scoring between teachers and students according to different grades and specialties. (4) The teacher subjects exist significantly differences(P<.05)in trust scoring between teachers and students according to different sexes and duties. (5) For the student subject, there is positive correlation among mean of trust between teachers and students, mean of relation between teachers and students and mean of general trust.( p<.01) Subjects'moral quality trust, knowledge trust, ability trust and sensibility trust are important variables of their relation between teachers and students. (R2 = 0.266) (6) For the teacher subject, there is positive correlation among mean of trust between teachers and students, mean of relation between teachers and students and mean of general trust. (p<.01) Subjects'knowledge trust, moral quality trust and sensibility trust were important variables of their relation between teachers and students. (7) The score of university teacher subjects is higher than university student subject on trust between teachers and students. (R2 = 0.248)...
