Bruner said, "The best excitement of study is interest. " So thereforms of mathematical course in every country all regard the methodwhich fosters the interest as the most significant task. Though Chinesestudents can win the first place in each Olympic Mathematics Competition, their capability for scientific tests and application is low. And what' sworse, mathematics is the subject middle-school students dislike most.Mathematical interest is not only the important factor, but also theessential factor. However, exam-oriented education pushes lots ofmiddle-school students far apart from mathematics. The object of thisthesis is to put forward the corresponding countermeasures after knowingabout the factors influencing junior students' interest in learningmathematics all around in the respects of learning habits, their parents, teaching materials, teaching methods and teaching appraising, throughquestionnaire investigation and interview, combining with problemsanalysis, relevant literatures and my personal experience. I advocatesuch a teaching theory, including interesting teaching materials, livingscenes and diverse ways of demonstrating, which should accord with theage characteristics of students and also arouse their desire forknowledge; I advocate such a teaching theory of diversifying the teachingmethods, in which a series of measures are used to lead the students to"practice mathematics" , for example, "game teaching" , "small-classteaching" , "team-work studying" so as to get the students toexperience success and inspire them to think over. Meanwhile, teachingmeasures, which melting pictures, sound and cartoons into a whole withcomputers, make the teaching appraise become the motive force of learningmathematics. Here I afford some ideas for reference to improve teachers'teaching capability and moreover, to throw out a minnow to catch a whale,I look forward more and more better methods to arouse students' interestin mathematics. I believe this is also the inexorable trend ofquality-oriented education.
