Interview was widely used in human resource management and played acrucial role in personnel decisions. Interview was often used in consulting,selecting, the employment, the investigation, the appraisal and other fields. For thelast years, evidences consistently demonstrated reliability and validity. The focusof interview studies has shifted from the psychometric indicators of interview tointerview dynamic process such as interview decision making. The publicrealized gradually that the result of an interview is related with the interviewdesign and the interviewer decision making as well.It is important that interviewer play role in the decision making of interview.The decision making of interview was the result which the scene of interview, theinterviewer and the characteristic of interviewee affect mutually. The threshold ofrejection existed in the impression matching. Whether the process of interviewdecisions influenced the decision making or not, we should concern the matter.The present study with the research of impression matching laid the foundationfor the process and character of interview decisions. The results were shown asfollows.In studyⅠ, an experiment was conducted to analyze how interview stageaffected the role of compatibility test in interview decisions. The result showedthat subjective compatibility perception mediated the relationship betweeninterviewer and interview decisions. The different interview stage affectedinterview decision rejection threshold and decision consistent.In studyⅡ, with process tracing technique, we compared interview decisionsin terms of decision strategies on the basis of analysis of single-step transitionsand multiple-step transitions in multi-attribute decision tasks. The results showedthat, framing effect affected decision strategies for the difference of the decisionaiming and cognitive characteristic.
