With the trend of the economic globalization and the information orientation, Learn How to Learn Principle has become the core of the education in the 21st century. Study is becoming the main task everyone ever facing. Since the quality education in China is developing rapidly, more and more teachers are further exploring the way to raise the teaching quality in class while lessening the burden of students. Math teachers are concerned how to enable the students to study well both in math and other subjects, which in turn can build a solid foundation for further study in the future. Study tactics, as the core of Learn How to Learn Principle, along with the research concerned, are of great significance, which has made it an advanced hot topic in teaching psychology both in China and abroad. This paper is focused on the current situations of vocational school education in the above background.Firstly, it is necessary research on study tactics in order to overcome the misconceptions of math study and meet the need of education reform over the analysis of the weaknesses in traditional math teaching. It also emphasizes the importance of math study through the requests of social development, quality education improvement and teaching skill enhancement. Secondly, it makes a comparison between the study tactics in China and abroad in the aspects of origin, essence and current situation. All above are based on the extensive reading of vast number of papers and documents. Furthermore, Study Tactics is clearly defined when the author explains its features and elements upon the request of further research.Lastly, the author has made a survey investigating the current situations of math study tactics from samples from different levels in Dalian Women's Vocational Secondary Technical School, out of which the author has got the first-hand information. Both have contributed a lot to the analysis of the relationship between that of China and abroad. Thus efficient measures will be sought to better the vocational math study according to the above analysis and the psychological research.
