The students in China have studied Chinese texts for more than ten years. From the primary school to the senior school, few of them form the good habit of reading and the ability of self-reading. So some of the experts on Chinese teaching have been exploring how to change the situation. Presently, with the new edition of textbook used and new curriculum executed, many scholars claimed that we should put the learning strategy into the curriculum program as one of important teaching aims, that is to say, we should lead the students to form the good habit of reading and listening in the class and gradually learn how to use the effective learning methods to control their attention and processing of knowledge on their textbook, in this way, they will be self-learners. But I think that all the learning strategies can realize their value on the condition that the students can master and use them freely in the reading. So, I conducted a research on the self-regulated reading strategy in the grade one of the senior school. The main purpose of this research is to explore an effective strategy to help the students form the good habit of reading and learn how to read and study.My research is subdivided into three steps, first of all, analyze the research on self-regulated learning in theory and practice, besides, the self-reading strategy in and abroad, then summarize them. Secondly, select the new enrollment students as the object of the research. Choose two classes from them, one is chosen as experimental class, the other is chosen as its comparative one. Before the new lessons, let all the students from the two classes took the same questionnaire and tested their reading ability, and then analyze the results. Finally, I carry out the experiment and analyze the result. Choose the texts which should be read by the students independently as studying object, make the students read them with all kinds of reading strategies used. At the end of the term, I test the students again and analyze the result and then draw the conclusion.According to the research, the self-regulated strategies used by the students include the self-regulated previewing strategy, selecting the reading aims strategy, that is, directional strategy, self-regulatedconstructing question situation strategy, reading recognition strategy, that is, self-regulated confirming important information strategy, mastering the methods of selecting information, mastering strategy of reasoning information, The students improve their reading scores by using these strategies.In addition, we conclude that when we put the self-regulated reading strategy in practice, and we should follow these principles namely communicating principle, constructing easy, democratic, harmonious study environment principles. They provide the requirement that self-regulated reading strategy is executed and experienced successfully.
