The Ergonomics Study About The Desk-Chair And The Light Environment In The Classroom Of The Middle And Primary Schools Of Xiamen

Based on ergonomics and school hygiene theory, adopting documentary, investigation, interview, measuring evaluation assessment, system analysis, comparative analysis, mathematical statistics . We have carried on a research about the current situation of the desk-chair and light environment in the classroom, and the effect on student's eyesight and health development of desk-chair and light environment of the 42 classrooms of 16 middle schools and 10 primary schools in Xiamen, 2037 students. And we have put forward corresponding suggestion and countermeasure on this basis.The result shows: Firstly, the standard of the size of function of desk-chairs of most school of middle and primary schools in Xiamen is much different from the new or old national standard. The coincident rate is low with students 'height. The desk-chair has not indicated the type , user' s height range and sign color. Secondly, the manufacturer has not made desk-chair according to national relevant standards , the responsible institution doesn' t supervise enough to the production of the desk-chair, and the desk-chair of school of the allocation " humanization consciousness is insufficient. Thirdly, the desk-chair that isn' t suitable for the sanitary standard will produce the negative influence on students' eyesight, cause the student nearsighted easily. Fourthly, the desk-chairs of middle and primary schools are small, short, old , dirty , hard and uncomfortable. And it offers narrow activity space. The students have to change their posture often. It' s easy for them to have a backache, tired eyes , etc. Fifthly, because of the difference of growth between high school student and junior school student, boy student and girl student, taking the same desk-chair, the comfortable feeling of girl student is better than that of the boy student, a junior middle school student feels better than a high school student, and especially at high school stage. Sixthly, the desk-chair in student's ideal is individualization, humanization, multi-functional, practical, comfortable and beautiful. Seventhly, the top of desk-chair daylighting illumination qualification rate of the middle and primary schools classroom is relatively high. Compare with the standard of illumination of other countries and regions and the recommendation of International lighting organization , the desk-top daylighting illumination standard of the middle and primary schools classroom in our country is low. Eighthly, the rate of the student' s nearsighted is high. Besides congenital inherent cause, reading and writing at short range for a long time, overweight schoolwork burden, incorrect written posture, desk-chair that is unfit for the sanitary standard ,etc, have something to do with it. Ninthly, the eye exercises has not performed practically in many schools at present, students are unwilling to do it, the school supervision is not enough, some teachers take up time of the eye exercises. Those are the main reasons which influence eye exercise quality.
