Great changes have taken place in Chinese teaching books with the reformation of new curriculum, thus bring more requirement to the teaching. To reach a steady and effective teaching, the biggest problem is the change of teaching miads and the improvement of teaching quality, among which the most important is to improve the level of teaching language arts. Teaching language arts are significant parts of teachers' majon, especially Chinese teachers', as well as a necessary quality. The proper use of teaching language arts will directly have an effect on teaching procedure and result, at the same time, set an example for students to develop their intepersonal ability in modern Chinese. So the study and exploration of language arts in Chinese teaching is of great importance. Based on many comtempory theories of all subjects, the characteristics of Chinese subject and the reqularity of students' learning , this article explores the connotation of language arts in Chinese teaching, It completely and sysmatically summarizes the requirements and characteristics of language in Chinese reading teaching as well as the contents and methods to improve teachers' language arts . In this respect, it's of certain values for studying and recommending.The whole article can be divided into five parts: the connovation and meaning of language arts in reading teaching; the quality and characteristics of language arts in reading teaching; the factors and requirements to improve language in reading teaching; the primary exploration of the use and practice in reading teaching; Chinese teachers quality of language arts.
